UK Baby Friendly Initiative chooses Europa to provide its
Annual Conference furniture contract
Leading world charity organisation, UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiaitve, has appointed London-based furniture hire specialists Europa as its preferred contractor to provide furniture for the organisation’s annual conference.
The three-year deal will see Europa – which supplies furniture, equipment and expertise to the events, exhibitions and conference sectors – provide a broad range of items including conference seating, tables, chairs and lounge furniture.
Since its inception in 1998, the UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative annual conference has grown both in stature and reputation and is now the
UK’s highest-profile event covering infant feeding issues.
The eleventh annual conference, which will take place this year at the SECC in Glasgow at the end of November, will see over 700 health professionals attend, and more than 20 exhibitors.
Commenting on the announcement, Europa managing director Steve Murphy, said:
“We are delighted to have secured this contract with the UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative, which we believe shows it has confidence in Europa being able to meet its needs over the next three years.”
The Baby Friendly Initiative is a worldwide programme of the World Health Organization and UNICEF. Launched in the
UK in 1994, it works with healthcare professionals to ensure that mothers and babies receive high-quality support to enable successful breastfeeding.
